1	A cutscene showing Aesfrost invading Glenbrook plays. Main Story unlocked: Whiteholm Castle Side Story unlocked: Telliore Streets
2	Go to Whiteholm Castle to access the invasion cutscene. Main Story unlocked: Central Hyzante
3	Proceed to Central Hyzante. Watch the cutscene and move on to surveying the area. Exploration Phase unlocked: Central Hyzante
4	After Exploration Phase, you will be sent to the World Map. Main Story unlocked: Whiteholm Castle
5	Prepare for a battle before heading to Whiteholm Castle. Battle unlocked: Storming the Whiteholm Castle
6	After the battle, a cutscene inside the Whiteholm Castle will take place. End of Chapter 5: Encroaching Darkness

Erador Interaction

Where to Find	Erador is the closest character to where Serenoa spawns.
Prompt	Choices and Effects
Makes me sick, thinkin' such cowards serve our king...	We cannot expect them to fight. My only concern is that their money does not fall into the hands of our enemies. (Increases Utility)
Let us consider their duties to the crown fulfilled, and leave it at that. (Increases Morality)
For the moment we all share a common goal—suvival. We can have our revenge if we survive. (Increases Liberty)

Where to Find	Go to the East part of the map and talk to the bleeding soldier.

	Firestone 2nd Southernmost bush from Frederica. She can be found beside a dying soldier in the West part of the map.
	600 Coin The smaller fountain opposite to the bigger fountain near Erador.
	Large Recovery Pellet Middle of the pool at the center of the map.
	300 Coin Behind the big tree by the North.
	Stone Northwestmost point of the map by a stone chair.
	Poison Recovery Pellet By the fountain near Erador.

Cat Location

Where to Find	Behind the large tree.

You will encounter a number of cats scattered across Norzelia throughout your adventure.

These cats can be found during Exploration Phases, and interacting with all of the cats throughout the game will grant you a Secret Note.

It is not required to interact with the cat again if you have approached it from a previous Exploration Phase.

Chapter 5 Battle and Strategies

Storming the Whiteholm Castle Gardens Map and Battle Information

Recommended Level: 7	Enemy Units: ∞
Weather:	Clear	Wind:	Breezy
Victory Conditions:	Ensure Roland reaches the castle entrance.
Defeat Conditions:	Allow Roland to fall.
Battle Spoils:		-

Battle Strategies

Take Control of the Scaffolding

Cover Roland as he tries to escape!

Since getting Roland to safety is the main condition of this battle, cover fire will be necessary, especially in higher difficulties.

Place archers like Rudolph and Hughette on the scaffolding for better range and safety from above.

Destroy Barricades Easily with Fire

These barricades are weak against fire so using Scorch or a Firestone will work wonders.

One downside is that the barricades will continue to burn and will cause damage when units pass through.

The only way to deal with the fire without damaging your own units is to use ice magic from Corentin or by using an Icestone.

Scorch

Deal fire-type magic damage to all enemies within range and set the ground ablaze. Power: 26 Range: 0-4 (Height -10 - +10)

Doing this will make it easier for Roland to get to the end of the map, as well as avoid getting stuck in chokepoints.

At the start of the deployment phase, make it a point to group together Frederica and Corentin (If you chose to head to Hyzante in Chapter 3).

Be Careful of Reinforcements

After a certain amount of turns and the closer your party members get to reaching the safe zone, enemy reinforcements will arrive.

The first wave will appear after the third turn and will be composed of 4 sword-wielding soldiers. Two each will appear on the corners of the map.

Bring Poison Recovery Pellets

There will be many archers to face, all whom use the ability, Poison Arrow. Before heading into battle, players should stock up on enough Poison Recovery Pellets.

Chapter 5 General Tips

Consider Strengthening Roland in Mock Battles!

Roland will be your most important unit in the battle for this chapter. If he falls, you lose the map. If you have trouble keeping him alive especially in higher difficulties, consider running a few Mock Battles with the goal of getting his stats and power levels up.
