For Chapter 9: Dwindling Light, we recommend choosing to Transport Illegal Salt as it is a requirement in completing the Golden Serenoa Route.
How to Get the Golden Route

Choosing to Transport the Salt is easier. Enemies in A Rematch With Bandits are much more scattered and easier to beat than the Hyzantian forces in The Battle of Booker's Brigade. The terrain in the latter battle is also to the player's disadvantage as they're placed at the bottom of a hill.
Chapter 9: Dwindling Light

Sorsley Will Always Get Convicted

No matter which route players take, Minister Sorsley and his illegal salt trade will always get found out and be dealt with by Serenoa and his party.
