Chapter 12: In the Still of the Night Story Walkthrough | Where is the Key of the Roselle

Where is the Key

Get the Pink Rock from the Roselle Elder's House

During Exploration Phase, enter the Elder's house and speak with him. He will vehemently deny any existence of such a key.

Exit the Elder's house and speak with Benedict. Afterwards, speak with Frederica to ask her a favor. Frederica will talk to the Elder and bring him out of his house.

Enter the Elder's house and you'll find the True Hidden Key, the Pink Rock where the Elder usually sits.

If you just want to progress the story, you can end the Exploration Phase as soon as you learn about the Pink Rock.

Failing to Show the Pink Rock Results to a Game Over

Game Over screen when you show the wrong Hidden Key or nothing at all.

Failing to show the Pink Rock will result to a game over and you would have to load your game until you've offered the correct Hidden Key.

Showing the Pink Rock is vital for this Chapter to progress and without it, you will be unable to carry on.

Golden Route Requirement - Offer the Pink Rock

One of the requirements to unlock Serenoa's Golden Route ending is to make sure you offer the Pink Rock to the Elder.

Chapter 12b Objectives

In the Still of the Night Objectives

	In the Still of the Night Objectives
1	After a brief summary of the previous chapter, you will be sent to the World Map. Main Story unlocked: Rosellan Village
2	Proceed to the Rosellan Village and inquire about a hidden key that gives the lie to the Goddess's Teachings. Exploration Phase unlocked: Learn what you can about the Hidden Rosellan Key
3	Hidden Key 1: The Pink Mirror How to Unlock: Talk to the Rosellan by the entrance. Pink Mirror Location: Follow the path behind Frederica and approach the wall once you've reached the corner.
4	Hidden Key 2: The Pink Pelt How to Unlock: Talk to the Rosellan by the trees northeast of Roland. Pink Pelt Location: Go inside the house in front of Anna, then inspect the pelt beside the shelves.
5	True Hidden Key 3: The Pink Rock How to Unlock: Talk to the Elder, then exit his house. Afterwards, talk to Benedict, then talk to Frederica to lure the Elder out of his house. Afterwards, go inside the Elder's house and inspect where he sits. Golden Route Ending Note: Offering the Pink Rock is a requirement to unlocking the Golden Route ending.
6	Once you have found the Hidden Keys and explored the village, end Exploration Phase.
7	Serenoa and his party will consult the Elder and will ask you what you think the Hidden Key is. Dialogue Choice: Offer the Pink Rock Warning: Failing to show the Pink Rock will result to a game over and you would have to load your game until you've offered the correct Hidden Key.
8	After showing the Pink Rock to the Elder, he will reveal to Serenoa that it is a massive salt crystal, enough to rival The Source. This shocks everyone, especially Benedict, and assures that it is the True Hidden Key to keep them and the village safe.
9	The next cutscene will show Exharme's soldiers surrounding the entrance of the Rosellan Village to execute anyone that crosses his path.
10	Serenoa and Benedict show the salt crystal and manages to convince Exharme to act otherwise.
11	After another cutscene, you will be sent to the World Map, able to see another day. Main Story unlocked: Hierophant's Palace
12	Head to Heirophant's Palace in the Holy State of Hyzante to convince them to become your ally.
13	Idore agrees to this alliance after Benedict's persuasion and Roland's identity reveal. Much to their surprise, Idore also appoints Serenoa as one of the Saintly Seven. Main Story unlocked: Whiteholm Castle Side Story unlocked: Central Hyzante
14	Once you've reached the World Map, head to Whiteholm Castle and watch a cutscene about Gustadolph's next course of action. End of Chapter 12b: In the Still of the Night

Cat Location

You will encounter a number of cats scattered across Norzelia throughout your adventure.

These cats can be found during Exploration Phases, and interacting with all of the cats throughout the game will grant you a Secret Note.

It is not required to interact with the cat again if you have approached it from a previous Exploration Phase.
