Best Special Moves for Each Character

Mario

Special Move Explanation
Super Jump Rating: ★★★★★
・Best single-target Jump attack.
・Chaining Super Jumps deal massive damage.
・Low FP cost.
・Unlocks the strongest equipment in the game upon reaching 30 and 100 Super Jumps.
How to Super Jump 100 Times
Jump Rating: ★★★★★
・Low FP cost.
・Has a unique effect of permanently increasing damage every time it's used.
・Needs to be stacked, but will eventually outdamage your other attacks when you put effort to using it.
Jump Max Damage and How to Increase
Ultra Jump Rating: ★★★★☆
・Timed bonus makes the attack multi-target.
・Effective for damaging multiple enemies.
・FP cost not worth if used without timed bonuses.

Mario's Special Moves are considered the best attacks in the game. However, many of these attacks would require consecutive timed attacks to reach the Special Moves' maximum potential, which can take a while to master.

Mario notably has Jump, which has an effect unique to it: permanently increases its damage every time it's used for the rest of your playthrough. When you put effort to stacking it, it will eventually outdamage every attack you have, and for a very cheap FP cost!

Mario Special Moves and Best Weapon

Mallow

Special Move Explanation
Shocker Rating: ★★★★☆
・High attack power for a Lv. 10 unlock.
・Low FP cost relative to its attack power.

Snowy Rating: ★★★★☆
・Ice spell that targets all enemies.
・Good for damaging mobs and enemies weak to Ice.
Thunderbolt Rating: ★★★★☆
・Lightning spell that targets all enemies.
・Good for damaging mobs and enemies weak to Lightning.

The strength of Mallow's Special Moves lies in its elements. Having access to Lightning and Ice spells, Mallow can exploit enemies' elemental weaknesses for extra damage.

Geno Whirl Rating: ★★★★★
・Deals 9999 damage to non-boss enemies when timed.
・Low FP cost relative to what its timed bonus offers.
・Can be acquired early on. (Lv. 11)
Geno Boost Rating: ★★★★★
・Increases ally attack by 50%.
・Increases ally defense by 50% if timed right.

Geno's Special Moves are considered to be the best in the game, both offensively and defensively. Geno Whirl is the strongest attack in the game, dealing a whopping 9999 damage to non-boss foes when timed right.

On the other hand, he can also buff an ally's attack and defense by 50% with a perfectly timed Geno Boost.

Bowser

Special Move Explanation
Mechakoopa Stomp Rating: ★★★☆☆
・High attack power.
・Targets all enemies.
・High FP cost.
Crusher Rating: ★★★☆☆
・Bowser's strongest single-target move.
・Learned at Lv. 15.

Mechakoopa Stomp and Crusher are Bowser's two strongest moves. However, with Bowser not being a powerful character overall, it's hard to recommend him or his Special Moves as there are characters that can hit harder and use less FP than him like Mario and Geno.

Group Hug Rating: ★★★★★
・Partywide version of Therapy.
・Low FP cost.

・Revives an ally.
・If timed right, ally to be revived will have full HP.
Therapy Rating: ★★★★☆

・Healing effect increased if timed right.
・Nullifies any status ailment a character may have.

Peach, being the best healer in the game, thrives with her wide array of healing and support Special Moves. She can revive allies back to full health with a perfectly timed Come Back, and can choose to heal a single ally or more with either Therapy or Group Hug.
