Accessories | Where to Get |
---|---|
・Get in the underwater room behind barrels at the Sunken Ship. | |
・Defeat Whuhoh at the Sunken Ship. | |
・Receive from the Vault Keeper during the Shyster invasion in Mushroom Kingdom. ・Can also be bought in Rose Town or Seaside Town shop for 42 coins. |
Dodo is primarily a physical attacker, but watch out on where he can inflict Silence by using his special move Flutter Hush.
Silence will prevent affected members from using special moves, so it is recommended to have some accessories that will prevent them from such.
It is best to party members like Peach or Mallow, who depend on valuable special moves that provide healing, with accessories such as the Wake Up Pin, Safety Badge, or Safety Ring to ensure that they cannot be interrupted in supporting the team.
List of Status Conditions and How to Heal
Special Move | Effect |
---|---|
Terrorize (Bowser) |
・Inflicts Fear status effect. ・Rotate the left stick to increase the damage dealt by the Special Move. |
Fear is effective on Dodo, so it is recommended to use Bowser's Terrorize to reduce how much damage he can do and also increase damage dealt to him.
This will make it easier to defeat Dodo, who has high HP and can deal lots of damage.
Best Special Moves for Each Character
Early on in the fight against Valentina, Dodo will target the 2nd member in your party formation (middle position) for a one-on-one duel.
It is best to have Bowser in this position, who has high HP and attack power. In the duel with Dodo, attempt to inflict Fear on the first turn with Terrorize to reduce his attack and have him take more damage.
When needed, heal with Max Mushrooms or any other healing item during the fight!
When enough damage has been dealt on Dodo, he and your dueling party member will return to the battle of Valentina. During this time, Dodo would have been weakened.
It is best to target and defeat Dodo first since he has lower HP during this part, and it will prevent him from using Flutter Hush to silence you while you deal with Valentina.
Special Move | Effect |
---|---|
Super Fireball (Mario) |
・Deals fire damage. ・Press A repeatedly to increase the special's move damage. |
Dodo is weak to Fire attacks, so Mario's fire-related special moves like Fireball can make quick work of him.
Regular Jump attacks will also do. Make sure to mind each member's HP since Dodo generally deals a lot of physical damage!
