The correct order, from oldest to youngest, of the Booster family from left to right is 4, 5, 3, 6, 2, 1. By arranging them in this order, you'll get the Elder Key that unlocks the door to the left of the portraits.
You need to interact with the portraits in the right order or you'll be forced into a battle every time you pick the wrong portrait. The portrait will flip around and show a letter B indicating you picked the correct portrait but everything will be reset if you choose the wrong portrait so be careful.
If you were wondering how to determine the order of oldest to youngest portrait, then do not worry as the answer can be found upon entering the tower.
There are six portraits lined up on the second floor of the entrance which are lined up from oldest to youngest so take this as an opportunity to memorize the order.
A great way to keep track which is the oldest to youngest of the Booster Family is taking a screenshot of the portrait order using your Nintendo Switch!
Once you've solved the puzzle, the youngest portrait will barf out the Elder Key which gives you access to the keyhole in the same room. The note beside the keyhole will also get updated and it will now say Remember to respect your elders.
