Players can play in Breezy Mode or Normal Mode in Super Mario RPG Remake. Read more to learn what difficulty to choose, the differences between Breezy Mode and Normal Mode, and how to change the difficulty modes!
Breezy Mode and Normal Mode Differences | |
---|---|
Breezy Mode | ・Level Up faster. ・Decreases battle difficulty leading into easier fights. ・Reduces HP of enemies and bosses ・Attack action commands are easier. ・Recommended for players who want to enjoy the story. |
Normal Mode | ・Normal difficulty just like the original game. ・Carry less items compared to Breezy Mode. ・Recommended for players who wants to enjoy both the story and combat. |
Select Breezy Mode if you want to focus on progressing the main story quickly. Breezy Mode is recommended for those who are not good at combat or players who are new to RPGs since it's easier to defeat bosses and enemies due to their reduced HP and players gain EXP and level up more quickly.
Changes from the Original Game
For players who want to enjoy the game's combat and story to its fullest, we highly recommend choosing Normal Mode for a difficulty experience resembling the original version of the game.
You can also change the difficulty setting anytime during gameplay, so you can pick Normal Mode then switch to Breezy Mode if you are finding the battles too difficult.
The main story is not affected whether you choose Breezy Mode or Normal Mode, so pick whatever difficulty you fancy!
You can change the difficulty any time when you go to the System settings menu on the pause screen.
Note that if you switch from Breezy Mode to Normal Mode, the game will send excess items to the storage at Mario's House. This is because Normal Mode lets you only carry a few items compared to Breezy Mode.
