In the Booster Chase minigame, whenever you manage reach Peach, she will drop a Flower (similar to Flower Tabs), which gives you 1 max FP!
It is a good idea to save before attempting this one-time minigame, allowing you to reset and attempt to get as much Flowers as you can.
How to Farm Flower Points (FP)
Beetle | Worth |
---|---|
Female Beetle |
1 Coin |
Male Beetle |
50 Coins |
Gold Beetle |
1 Frog Coin |
If you have the Beetle Box, you will be able to collect the beetles you gain from the minigame and earn money from them!
In the Beetle Chase variation, you'll be collecting different kinds of beetles. At the end of the minigame, your collected beetles will be tallied, rewarding you with coins or Frog Coins depending on the beetles you caught.
Collect as much beetles you can to get lots of coins! Collecting at least one (1) male beetle will cover the cost of the entry price. Collecting a gold one will earn you a Frog Coin!
You can revisit Booster Hill without a Beetle Box and collect up to 6 Flowers planted along the course for free! Toad will tell you there's no reason to go up without a Beetle Box, but ignore him and go up anyway to collect the Flowers.
The Flowers won't reappear after you collect them all, but it's well worth it to make the trip up to grab them.
Obtaining a score of 15 points or more gives you a Gold Medal next to the name of the minigame in the Play Report screen. You can unlock the Play Report screen after completing the main story.

How to Play Booster Hill |
---|
|
In this minigame, you'll be automatically running up the hill; your controls will only be go left, go right, and jump; you can't go forward or backward. To get closer to Peach, jump and land on the barrels or Snifits at the right time to get to move forward and get closer.
The barrels will be rolling down the hill, while the Snifits will randomly sprint forward allowing you to jump on them.
In contrast, getting hit by a rolling barrel or Snifit will slow you down, so be on guard!
Whether you're playing the Booster Chase variation or the Beetle Chase variation of the minigame, your goal would be the same to just reach the objective as many times as you can in under 2 minutes.
You need to master the previous tip on jumping on the barrels or Snifits to be able to reach the objective.
As soon as a barrel rolls down after a beetle shows up, immediately jump that barrel to catch the beetle. Missing this might cause you to lose your chance to catch the beetle.
