Minigame Records Board

Midas River Gold Medal

Super Mario RPG Remake - Midas River
To get the Gold Medal, you need to collect 81 or more coins in Midas River in one run. There are a maximum of 100 coins to collect in the minigame: 36 in the Waterfall portion and 64 in the Barrel portion.
Midas River Guide

Master How to Swim Horizontally in the Waterfall Course

In the Waterfall part, you need to master how to swim horizontally: pressing the B button twice allows you to swim up briefly and move sideways. Don't overdo it so Mario doesn't get tired.

Master How to Lane Switch/Stay in the Barrel Course

In the Barrel part, you can switch lanes by letting the barrels bump, and stay on the lane by jumping. Certain lanes will have more coins, so you have to be fast in deciding if you want to switch or stay on your lane.

Goomba Thump Gold Medal

To get the Gold Medal in the Goomba Thumping minigame, you need to get at least 25 points in one run.

Aim to jump on the Gold Goombas as much as possible since they give more points, and avoid the Spikeys since they subtract points. Also, it's possible to do chain jumps by jumping on one Goomba to another Goomba, which will get you more points in less time!

This minigame can be found deep inside the Pipe Vault.

Mine-Car Race Gold Medal

Super Mario RPG Remake - Minecart Mushroom
To get the Gold Medal in Mine-Car Race, you need to complete the race with a time under 02:16.71. There are two different parts in the minigame: a 3D driving part and a side scroller part.

Try to collect as much mushrooms as you can, and be very careful in using them. Only use them when the turn is far away in the 3D driving part, or when the gap is far away in the side scroller part. Going off the rails will lose you some precious time!

Beetle Race Gold Medal

Super Mario RPG Remake - Beetle Race
To get the Gold Medal in Beetle Race, you need to catch at least 10 beetles in one run. You'll need to master jumping on the obstacles to achieve this score.

Beetle Race is played in Booster Hill, replacing the minigame where you chase Booster carrying Peach. You need to buy a Beetle Box at Seaside Town every time you want to play Beetle Race.
Booster Hill (Beetle Race) Guide

Paratroopa Gold Medal

To get the Gold Medal in the Paratroopa minigame, you need to reach the top in less than 11 seconds.

You'll need to know the timings and movements of the shells, so you might have to repeat this race a bunch of times.

Paratroopa Cliff Scale Guide

Beetle Mania Gold Medal

Super Mario RPG Remake - Beetle Mania
To get the Gold Medal for Beetle Mania, you need to get a score of 4,000,000 or more.

To get this very difficult achievement, you'll have to master chaining shells: hitting a shell will reward points and cause it to scatter stars, which can hit other shells. Each shell hit by a star will give you double points.

Ball Games Ahead Gold Medal

The Ball Games Ahead refers how many games you've won in Knife Guy's Juggling Game compared to how much you've lost. To get the gold medal, you need to have 50 more won games than the amount you've lost.

Focus your eyes to above his head or on one hand so you can figure out where the ball landed. If you're having difficulty winning, record the game in a video with a device such as your phone so you can check where the ball is; there's no time limit to selecting the hand.

How to Win Knife Guy's Juggling Game

Memory Game Wins

Super Mario RPG Remake - Memory Game
To get the Gold Medal for the Memory Game minigame, you need to get at least 50 wins.

The memory game is played by memorizing the cards and successfully selecting which of the cards shows the characters that the dealer asks. Selecting three cards correctly three in a row will net you rewards, but failing once will cause you to start over again.

Look-the-Other-Way Gold Medal

Super Mario RPG Remake - Look the Other Way
