① | When you enter the Kero Sewers area, you'll immediately enter the pipe that will take you to the actual sewers. |

② | After emerging from the pipe, save at the save point. You can then swim across the water at the bottom right. |
③ | Enter the pipe after crossing the water. |
④ | Go down the steps after emerging from the pipe. |
⑤ | Go over the wall on the right. Ignore the pipe you'll find in the center and enter the pipe on the bottom right. |
⑥ | After stepping on the button with an exclamation point, return to the pipe you entered with to return to the previous room. The button with the exclamation mark will drain the water which will open up new areas. |
⑦ | Go down the steps and enter the pipe in the upper left. |
⑧ | When you get out of the pipe, follow the path and go up the stairs to open the treasure chest. A Huhwhat will appear and its a strong enemy so we highly recommend to heal first before the battle. Winning against the Huhwhat will allow you to obtain a Trueform Pin. |
⑨ | Enter the pipe you used when coming to this area and return to the previous room. You can also jump to the left from the second stairs to find a treasure chest. |
⑩ | Enter the pipe on the bottom left. |
⑪ | Go to the right and avoid falling down the steps and use the save point. If you accidentally fall, refer back to step ⑧. |
⑫ | Enter the clay pipe in the back right corner to start your next boss fight against Belome. ▶ How to Beat Belome |
⑬ | After defeating Belome, you'll trigger a mini game in the Midas River where you have to collect coins while drfting down the river. ▶ Midas River 100 Coins Guide |
⑭ | After you finish the Midas River mini-game, you can save at the save point nearby. Once done, exit the zone to proceed to the Tadpole Pond. |

3rd Star Piece Walkthrough (Chapter 3)
Open the treasure chest shown in the image to obtain a Trueform Pin. This is an item that is useful for preventing effects that transform you into mushrooms. Be careful as you will have to fight a Huhwhat first. It is a powerful enemy, so come prepared.
Trueform Pin - Effects and How to Get
At the end, you will find a slumbering Belome. Defeat him to finish your business here in Kero Sewers. After defeating him, the gate behind Belome will open and Mario will be flushed out into the Midas River.
How to Beat Belome and Rewards
There are a total of 100 coins that can be collected in the Midas River course. Frog Coins, Flowers, and a Koopa Shell can also be obtained from this area.
