Post-Game Feature Unlocked by Beating Game Once

Super Mario RPG Remake - Sound Player Unlocked

You can unlock the Sound Player feature once you complete the game story once. The Sound Player is a new feature that lets you listen to original renditions of songs from the original game or opt to listen to newly-arranged version of beloved tracks.

Upon starting the post-game, the notification of you unlocking the Sound Player will pop up. You can then open the Sound Player through your Journal.

Some Songs Need to Be Unlocked First

Super Mario RPG Remake - Sound Player Locked Songs

It's not unlikely that you will find tracks that you can't listen to yet upon first opening the Sound Player, indicated by the grayed out 'It's been sealed' text.

You'll unlock these tracks after you listened to them in-game. Some areas in the game are optional, like Grate Guy's Casino so make sure to check if you haven't missed any side quests or secrets!

You can also check out post-game boss rematches, which add some tracks to the Sound Player as well.
