Accessories | Effects |

・Prevents instant defeat, status ailments, and most elemental attacks. | |
・Prevents any status ailments. | |
・Prevents transformation status. |
Both Count Down and the Ring-a-Dings use multiple status effect attacks such as Mushroom, Scarecrow, Sleep, and Silence.
To prevent your team from being affected by these status effects, it is recommended that you equip accessories that grant you protection from them!
List of Status Conditions and How to Heal
The Safety Ring is a highly valuable accessory that not only protects a user from status ailments, but also elemental attacks and instant death attacks.
This equipment is best given to Peach, who plays a major supporting role in this fight as a healer. Protecting her from these attacks means she can continue to use her special moves uninterrupted.
At the start of battle, two Ring-a-Dings will be on top of Count Down (the clock boss) to support it with various special attacks.
Focus on taking them out first since it will take a while to defeat Count Down, who has higher HP, and because they're capable of using Fear Roulette, an instant death attack.
Special Move | Effect |
---|---|
Ultra Jump (Mario) |
・Press the button upon landing on an enemy to turn the special move into a multi-target attack. |
Shocker (Mallow) |
・Press the button just before the bolt ends to increase the damage dealt. |
Count Down (the clock boss) is weak to both Jump and Lightning. For dealing lots of damage, use Mario's Ultra Jump and Mallow's Shocker.
The Ultra Jump timed bonus will allow you to also jump and damage other enemies (the Ring-a-Dings), so make sure to get a hang of its timing!
Best Special Moves for Each Character
Special Move | Effect |
---|---|
Group Hug (Peach) |
・Heals the party and nullifies any status ailment. ・Press the button a little after the sparkles start to increase the move's healing effect. |
Come Back (Peach) |
・Revives an ally. ・Press the button just as the star hits the body to restore an ally's health completely. |
Count Down (the clock boss) has several dangerous attacks, so it is best to have Peach cover healing for the entire team regularly with Group Hug.
Depending also on the status and level of your party members, Count Down is capable of defeating a member in one hit. It is best to have Come Back ready whenever an ally falls in battle.
While Peach is capable of sustaining heals and revies throughout the fight, it is best to make sure you have substitutes in case she is unable to fulfill her role.
Consider having Croaka Colas for recovering both the HP and FP of allies, and Pick Me Ups for reviving downed allies!

5:00 | Aurora Flash |
6:00 | Mega Recover |
7:00 | Water Blast |
10:00 | Petal Blast |
12:00 | Flare (Corona) |
Count Down's special attacks depend on what number the yellow clock hands are facing. With this, you will be able to tell ahead of time what attack it is going to use. Study each hand position carefuly!
In general, watch out for the Ring-a-Dings' Dark Star since it is a high-damage single-target special attack.
The Ring-a-Ding's most dangerous move is the Fear Roulette, an blockable move that causes an Mortal Blow (instant death attack). Having equipment like the Quartz Charm will protect the wearer from this attack.
You can time the block of the Fear Roullete at usually the sixth time it picks a member when it's being used.
Count Down's two most dangerous moves are Corona, which deals massive damage to the whole party, and Petal Blast which is capable of transforming party members into Mushrooms.
