Some enemies are weak to certain elements; when you hit them with a special move with the element they're weak to, your attack will deal double damage.

Some enemies have resistance to certain elements; when you hit them with a special move with the element they're immune to, your attack will deal zero damage.

Fire Bomb Inflicts Fire Damage

The item Fire Bomb also deals Fire Damage, which makes it an excellent option to use against Fire-Weak enemies, in case your party does not have Fire Skills equipped!
