In the Mushroom Kingdom shop, go downstairs and talk to the Toad there, who will be giving you a tutorial about hidden chests. He orders you to stand before him and jump. Do as he says to reveal the chest.

Hidden Chest #3 Flower |
In the same room as the tutorial Toad above, he will start walking around the room after you reveal the chest. Hop on top of him and jump when you're at the rightmost corner of the room to reveal this second chest.

Hidden Chest #1 Frog Coin |
When you enter the Mushroom Castle for the first time while being escorted by Toad, hop on Toad's head. When he reaches the throne room door, jump towards the area above the doorway. Jump again to reveal the chest. This hidden treasure chest is no longer missable unlike in the original game.

① | Proceed all the way up the stairs then enter the castle. |

② | An event will trigger when you enter the back room where the chancellor is found. |
③ | After talking to the chancellor, go to the cellar vault and get 10 Coins, a Flower, and a Mushroom from the chests then head to Peach's room and interact with the blue chair to get a Mushroom. |
④ | Leave the castle to trigger an event. |
⑤ | Talk to Mallow who is crying outside. Mallow will join the party after. |
⑥ | Examine the shop to buy some armor and if you have extra money to spare, you can purchase some accessories too. |
⑦ | Talk to the Toad in front of the item shop. He will give you the Map. then move to the next map Bandit's Way. |

1st Star Piece Walkthrough (Chapter 1)

① | An event will trigger when you talk to the Chancellor after obtaining the star piece. |

② | Talk to the blue Toad walking around and give him the wallet you took back from Croco to get a Flower Tab. |

④ | Exit the Mushroom Kingdom castle and go back outside to the world map. Move to the new location to your right to find the Kero Sewers. |

① | An event will occur once you head inside the castle. |

② | After reaching the innermost area of the castle and seeing the event, Peach will be removed from the party. |
③ | When you get out of the castle, another cutscene will play. Talk to Peach and she will rejoin the party. |
④ | Head to Tadpole Pond through the path on the bottom or the right area. You can also open the Map and go there directly. |

After speaking with the Chancellor in the castle, Mallow will be located just outside the inn; speak with them to learn their story. They will join your party afterwards!
Mallow Best Builds and Leveling Guide
After returning from Bandit's Way, you will find that the Mushroom Kingdom has been invaded by Shy Guys that are led by Claymorton. Defeat them to reclaim the castle and secure the first Star Piece.
How to Beat Claymorton and Rewards
The player will need to have returned to the Mushroom Kingdom from Marrymore after saving Peach from Booster to have access to this minigame. Talk to the Beetle Mania Toad in the Inn located in Mushroom Kingdom and the minigame will be offered for purchase for 500 coins. It is treated like a separate game to play for fun, since it yields no rewards regardless of the player's score.
