Saints Row - Will There Be Cheat Codes?
There do not seem to be any cheat codes available in the 2022 reboot of Saints Row (Saints Row 5). Should cheat codes return to the series, and why have they been a part of Saints Row for so long? Read on to hear our discussion of the change.

Despite cheat codes being a recurring mechanic in each Saints Row game, they seem to be completely absent from the Saints Row reboot. The familiar Extras app which was used to access cheats on the phone is gone, and so far no sources have confirmed any new feature to input cheat codes.

It's possible that cheat codes are hidden somewhere deep beneath the surface, but for now, it's looking like we've got a tradition-breaker on our hands with this one.

Cheat Codes Reflect the Essence of Saints Row

With no cheat codes in a Saints Row game for the first time, longtime fans of the series are undoubtedly surprised by the change. A reboot can take a series in a new direction, but it still needs to retain the essence of the original, and removing cheat codes is a step in a direction some might be hesitant to follow.

We think it could be nice to see even more freedom, such as an in-game hub where players can share mods they have created. In a series that prides itself on being a sandbox, we say, bring on the toys!

Enter Them on Your Phone

Step Description
1 Pull up your phone.
2 Go to Extras then select Cheats
3 Enter the code. After entering the code, there should be a message confirming the corresponding cheat.
