Soulseer Mizutsune
|
Espinas
|
Pukei-Pukei
|
These are the three best Monsties we recommend to bring against the Feral Barroth. Mizutsune can easily capitalize on the Feral Barroth's water weakness which is when the Feral Barroth has Mud Mantle Up. Meanwhile, Espinas is good against Barroth's fire weakness during its regular phase.
Pukei-Pukei is added as a monstie that can inflict status ailments and can easily be replaced by other Monsties that can do it such as Bishaten.

|
Before Fighting the Feral Barroth, try to reach X Levels to have a better chance of besting the monster. Consider hunting monsters in the area first to raise your levels until you reach the recommended level.
As most fights goes, status ailments are great tools to capitalize on against any bosses. Stack ailments such as poison to ramp up your team's DPS against the Feral Barroth. Feral Barroth is slightly resistant to Paralysis and Bleed but is vulnerable to everything else which makes it a prime target for status effects mid-fight.
The Feral Barroth will retaliate when its blightstone is attacked when its not covered in mud. Consider using slash attacks against its tail or piercing attacks against its Forelegs instead during its regular phase.
Feral Barroth takes severe damage from water attacks. Bring weapon that have water element or Monsties with water elemental attack to deal higher damage during the Mud Mantle phase.
However, on the regular phase, you'll want to use Fire attacks as Feral Barroth's weakness becomes fire during this phase.
