The maximum level in Monster Hunter Stories 3 is Level 99, but you will stop gaining any EXP if you fight monsters much weaker than you. Find out if there are level caps for each section of the game here!

Is There A Level Cap?

No Hard Level Cap in Each Area and Story Section

EXP in Character Screen

The game does not set a hard level cap during certain Main Story sections or before moving to different areas, so you can keep leveling up in the early game before proceeding with the story.

However, you may notice that you gain less experience after certain levels, which means you're fighting opponents at much lower levels than you, and the game grants you much less EXP when defeating them. Therefore, you must battle stronger Monsters to keep gaining EXP.

The Max Level is Level 99

Just like in the previous Monster Hunter Stories games, the maximum level that you and your Monsties can reach is Level 99.
