Unlike regular battles, players cannot deplete the health of invasive monsters. Instead, they need to collect Invasive Monster Tracks before the battle so that Rudy can provide the conditions needed in order for it to retreat.
These conditions, in some cases, will require you to switch up your roster and perform specific combat mechanics.
Combat System Guide

Invasive Monsters encroach on endangered species' habitats further making it difficult for the endangered species to thrive. As a ranger, your job is to get to these endangered eggs by making the Invasive Monster Retreat to its den then collect its egg to repopulate the area.

Endemic life such as birds and other small animals will be in distress near the areas where the Invasive Monsters area. Watch out for groups of them to lead you to the location where you can fight the Invasive Monster.

Invasive Monsters can only be encountered at nighttime. Players can visit any Catavan Stand to adjust the time from day to night then visit the Monsters' respective spots.

Players will encounter the first Invasive Monster, a Yian Garuga, during the main quest, The Princess of Vermeil. This will be during the part where Eleanor sets out alongside the rangers to retreive an endangered Monstie egg.
