How Many Monsties Are There?
85 Monsties at Release
Overall, there are currently 84 monsties in the release version of the game.
There were 67 and 96 Monsties in Monster Hunters Stories 1 and 2 respectively, with several monsties added through updates. So, there's a possibility for more monsties in the game's future.
One Monstie is a Secret Related to Poogies
After acquiring 100 Poogies, a new monster den will appear in Azuria where you can acquire the egg of a Poogie Monstie.
What are Monsties?
Tameable and Ridable Monsters
Monsties are the domesticated versions of monsters. They allow you to ride them during exploration to help traverse difficult terrain with specific abilities, and they fight alongside you during combat.
To tame yourself a Monstie, you must hatch them from their eggs.
