In Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, you can explore during both night and day. Learn more about how to change the time of day, the increased appearances of high-level monsters, the additional gathering spots in dens, and the frequent sightings of Barrel Felynes in this guide!

In Monster Hunter Stories 3, there are certain Monsters that only appear at night, such as the Brachydios, which can be found at the Ancient Battlegrounds in Broadleaf Basin.

Monsters with red and yellow icons are more apparent at night. These opponents are powerful, and defeating them can gain you huge amounts of EXP and more materials!

Dens can sometimes have two gathering spots inside them during nighttime. Encountering such a phenomenon can allow you to choose more eggs with high potency and give you infinite tries until you choose your preferred egg.

At night, you will come across more Barrel Felynes, which you can defeat efficiently by bringing Kora in your party due to her Launch Bombs.
Remember that the Launch Bomb will be used by Kora in the first turn, which deals AoE damage and is guaranteed to defeat every Barrel Felyne in just one turn. These Barrel Felynes can also sometimes appear in Monster Dens!

During nighttime, Elder Dragons can sometimes appear. Make sure that you carefully plan your attacks, choose the correct weapons, and activate Kinship Skills to beat them!

During daytime, Monsters are apparent across the regions alongside their Monster Dens, and you can enjoy the exploration in much clearer visibility due to the daylight!
The enemy Monsters you encounter during this period are at their usual difficulty, depending on your game progress and the level of your Monsties.

To change between Day and Night, you must approach a Catavan Stand and pick any location on the area list.
