You are only in control of your character, the Prince or Princess of Azuria, during battles. You cannot control other Battle Allies and Monsties directly, as they will mostly do whatever they want during attack sequences.

However, you can command your Monstie to use a Skill against any opponent Monster or toward a specific body part, but you can't order them to do a regular attack.
