What is a Side Story?
Additional Quests That Explore Your Ally's Lore
A Side Story is a quest that explores the lore behind you allies. Completing these quest provide you with unique rewards that you can only get from specific allies, like recipes, and improve the character's capabilities in battle.
Unlocks After Completing Amara's Child
The first Side Story unlocks after you complete the main story quest Amara's Child. In the Ranger's base you will find a yellow icon above character's who have available Side Stories.
These stories are completed in order so if you don't complete the Side Story before leaving a region you will still be able to do them in the new region.
New Side Story Chapters Unlock at Specific Points in the Story

| 1 |  Complete the Main Quest Amara's Child and speak with Rudy in Azuria Castle. |
| 2 |  Complete the Main Quest Forbidden Ground and set up a base in Sheparden. |
| 3 |  Complete the Main Quest Ena and after going to the Ministry of Eggs. |
| 4 |  Defeat the Feral Blangonga and set up your first camp at the Glacial Caps in Serathis to unlock Chapter 4. You will need to go back to a base in another region to take on the quest. |
You Can Not Progress the Main Story When Doing a Side Story
Once you accept a Side Story you won't be able to progress the main story until you complete it.
When to Complete Side Stories?
Complete the Side Stories Before You Progress the Main Story
Depending on your progress of the Main Story, you can be temporarily locked out of completing Side Stories. It is highly recommended that you complete the Side Stories as they become available to get their rewards before progressing through the Main Story.
