The Feral Rakna-Kadaki will enter the battle in the Web Mantle (Legs) State with two allies, the Rachnoids. These Rachnoids will launch Technical Attacks, Web Shots or Web Inferno, which can apply Speed debuffs and Burn.

On the other hand, the Feral Rakna-Kadaki, will launch more powerful AoE attacks like Entangling Thread and Feral Foxflame Bubbles, which can also apply debuffs. It will also launch Debuff Chaser which will cause higher damage the more debuffs the target has.

Recommended Monsties for the Feral Rakna-Kadaki

Ivory Lagiacrus iconIvory Lagiacrus Boltreaver Astalos iconBoltreaver Astalos

The Feral Rakna-Kadaki will be very weak to Thunder elemental skills so we recommend both the Ivory Lagiacrus and the Boltreaver Astalos. The more solid choice is the Ivory Lagiacrus as it is resistant to Water elemental skills.

The Boltreaver Astalos is still a good pick, however, it is weak to Water type attacks so make sure to switch it out before the Feral Rakna-Kadaki unleashes its Water moves.

How to Beat the Feral Rakna-Kadaki

Jump to a Section

Level Up to at Least Level 37

The Feral Rakna-Kadaki will be at level 40 so prepare your roster to at least Level 37.

How to Level Up Fast

Equip Water Resistant Armor

Equip Water Resistant Armor
Water resistant Armor such as the Mizutsune Armor or Golm Armor make for good picks during this fight as they have high defense and are resistant to the Feral Rakna-Kadaki's Water Elemental Skills..
List of All Armor

Equip Thunder and Water Element Weapons

Equip your character with Thunder Element Slash and Blunt weapons such as the Lagiacrus Blade or the Bleeding Bopper to break the Legs during the Web Mantle (Legs) State.

Additionally, you may want to equip Water Element weapons since the Rachnoids are weak to Water. Examples of these weapons include the Drowning Shaft or the Ludroth Splash Hammer.

List of All Weapons

Inflict Darkness or Paralysis

Apply Paralysis

The Feral Rakna-Kadaki is very susceptible to Darkness so use Flash Bombs or Darkness inducing moves like Flash to increase the chances of them missing an attack.

Additionally, AoE Thunder attacks can be helpful in the battle as both the Feral Rakna-Kadaki and Rachnoids are weak to Paralysis.

Attack Rachnoids First

Attack Rachnoids First.png
Because the Rakna-Kadaki can attack with Debuff Chaser, make sure to defeat the Rachnoids first since they can keep applying debuffs to your speed or Burn each turn.

Break the Forelegs and Hind Legs

Break the Boss
The Feral Rakna-Kadaki will only leave the Web Mantle (Legs) state if both the Forelegs and Hind Legs break. Focus your attacks on these parts to force it to enter the No Web state in which it can only use Technical Attacks.

Focus Wyvernsoul Damage After Feral Attacks

Focus depleting the Wyvernsoul Gauge after the Feral Rakna-Kadaki launches Feral Foxflame Bubbles and Feral Spiral Chaser. This is because it will apply Wyvernsoul Down to itself after these attacks.

Wyvernsoul Gauge Guide

Don't Hit Its Back Spikes During the Web Mantle (Legs) State

The Feral Rakna Kadaki will launch a counter, Backlash Fire, which can oneshot party members if the player hits its Back Spikes during the Web Mantle (Legs) State.

Only attack these parts during the No Web or Web Mantle (Cocoon) States.

How to Fight the Feral Rakna-Kadaki

Fought During the Ten Years Ago Main Quest

The Feral Rakna-Kadaki is encountered during the Ten Years Ago Main Quest. This happens when the group ventures deeper into Death's Maw to reach the abandoned village.
