| Balancing |
Feral Bishaten has 2 states which are its Normal and Balancing Act.
| Turn Count | Move |
|---|---|
| Turn 1 | Technical Attack |
| Turn 2 Will transition to Balancing state at turn end |
Fruit Frenzy (AoE Skill) |
In this state, Feral Bishaten has a blightstone on its tail that you can attack without risking a backlash. It mainly uses Technical attacks so make sure to counter it with a Power attack. You only have 1 turn in this state before it uses a skippable AoE skill that will try to inflict all the status ailment to all of your party but it only deals low damage.
After using Fruit Frenzy or if you skipped it, Feral Bishaten will always switch to the Balancing Act state at turn end.
| Turn Count | Move |
|---|---|
| Turn 1 Will cast a random "Fruit" Prep skill on turn end |
Speed Attack |
| Turn 2 | Poisonfruit (Power Attack) Flashfruit (Speed Attack) |
| Turn 3 Will cast a random "Fruit" Prep skill on turn end |
Feral Ray Blade (Single-Target Skill) |
| Turn 4 | Poisonfruit (Power Attack) Flashfruit (Speed Attack) |
| Turn 5 Will transition to Normal state at turn end |
Feral Ray Blade (Single-Target Skill) |
In this state, the blightstone will start to glow and Feral Bishaten will stand using its tail. Attacking the tail will result in a backlash so make sure to only attack it when it is staggered or toppled. This state is unique because it will try to initiate a head-to-head attack but the attack type depends on what fruit it shows you on turns 1 and 3. Pay attention and correctly counter it with either a Speed or a Technical attack.
It will then try to use a Feral Ray Blade which is a skippable single-target skill twice in this state before returning back to the normal state at the end of the turn after the second Feral Ray Blade.

The best monstie you can use against Feral Bishaten in this stage of the game is Aurora Somnacanth and Lagiacrus. Since it is weak to ice attacks, Aurora Somnacanth can deal damage to it much higher while the two Lagiacrus is here to resist thunder attacks and for Power and Speed attack coverage.

| Flashfruit Prep | Speed Attack (Inflicts Darkness |
During the Balancing Act state, on turns 1 and 3, make sure to keep watch on what fruit it prepares at turn end so that you can counter it with the right attack type and avoid getting hit with the corresponding status ailment the fruit can inflict.
In this fight, Feral Bishaten is at level 42. If you can resist thunder attacks, it is enough to fight it at levels 35-40 so that you can survive its attacks then heal it back especially its status ailments.
EXP Guide: How to Level Up Fast
Feral Bishaten is weak to ice while dealing thunder attacks. Make sure to bring ice weapons and thunder resist armor such as the Gypceros Armor made from materials dropped by a Gypceros. The armor can also increase resistance against poison and darkness.
The best battle ally in this fight is Kora. Feral Bishaten primarily uses only single-target attacks and Kora can redirect all of it to herself giving you time to deal damage, cast buffs or healing.
Feral Bishaten likes to inflict status ailment to your party using Fruit Frenzy and fruits. If you cannot avoid it, make sure to bring status ailment cure items especially against Paralysis, Poison and Darkness.
You can also use a Hunting Horn with a Bolstering Ballad skill to prevent any status ailment inflicted to your party for 3 turns. Make sure to case this at the first turn during its Normal state so that Fruit Frenzy will not be able to inflict any status ailment.

Feral Bishaten is an optional boss you can encounter residing west of Sheparden in the center of Howlinyowl Forest in the Canalta Timerland region.

It’s actually much easier to use Gaul after his side story 2 to target the Ice weakness instead of Kora. I reccomend getting a Ice imbued Mizutsune and using the fully upgraded Magia Charm horn.
