Invasive Shogun Ceanataur Location

Located Behind the Waterfall in Canalta Timberland

Invasive Shogun Ceanataur.png

The Invasive Shogun Ceanataur is found behind a waterfall on the Northwest region of Canalta Timberland. The easiest way to reach it is by heading to the Lookout Point: Howlinyowl Forest then jumping down the waterfall nearby. That waterfall has the cave leading to the Frozen Grotto where Shogun Ceanataur can be found.

How to Repel Invasive Shogun Ceanataur

1. Invasive Battle Clues
2. Command Monstie to Use Status Skills
3. Buff Up on Defense

Invasive Battle Clues

Clue
1. Without proper protection, this is fixin' to be one heckuva tough fight.
2. This strangely rolid rock has a few scratches on its face, but it's hardly cleaved through.
3. Maybe with some Armorskin or somthin'... And hunting horns have melodies that toughen you!

There are two options to choose from when trying to repel the Invasive Shogun Ceanataur. Although the battle clue says Armorskin, using only one is insufficient. Players instead can use one Mega Armorskin or an Armorskin with Springy Staccato when the combat screen shows a red line between the enemy and your Monstie.

Another way is to use easier and cheaper way of blocking it with Hunting Horn skills. The combo of skills for this would be 1 Defensive Ditty alongside 2 Springy Staccatos for Defense Up (L).

List of All Hunting Horns

Use Nargacuga's Stealth Skill to Collect Clues

Use Nargacuga

To collect the Invasive Monster Tracks and remain unseen by the Invasive Monster, players can ride a Nargacuga and use its Stealth Skill by pressing the the roar button. The Invasive Monster will now not be alerted as long as stealth is active.

Note however that players can only get a Nargacuga by beating Invasive Nerscylla.

Command Monstie to Use Status Moves

When it shows no lines between your Monstie and the Invasive Shogun Cenataur, command your Monstie to use a status skill. This is to avoid the enemy's counter move Retaliating Guard which can deplete your Monsties' hearts faster.

Buff Up on Defense

Throughout the fight, use one Defensive Ditty and two Springy Staccatos to build up to Defense Up (L). A Hunting Horn with both of these skills would be the Khezu Horn!

When it extends its claws and targets your team, which should show a red line, players can also buff the defense of the one that is targeted further by using an Armorskin, Mega Armorskin or Adamant Seed. Make sure to avoid expending your Hearts since either you or your Monstie will likely get downed in one hit during this phase.
