2. Normal State |
| Normal State | |
|---|---|
| Overheated State |
The Feral Ajarakan has 2 states which are its Normal and Overheated state.
| Turn Count | Move |
|---|---|
| Turn 1 | Technical Attack |
| Turn 2 | Lava Cascade Single Target (Blastblight) |
The Feral Ajarakan will start out in its normal state. Other than launching a Technical attack, which players should counter with a Power attack, it will also unleash Lava Cascade. This is a single target skill that has the chance to apply Blastblight.
| Turn Count | Move |
|---|---|
| Turn 0 From the Normal State |
Overheat Used to transition to the Overheated State |
| Turn 1 | Feral Bomb Crash |
| Turn 2 | Sweeping Flames |
| Turn 3 | Power Attack |
| Turn 4 | Magma Counter |
| Turn 6 | Sweeping Flames |
| Turn 7 | Power Attack |
In its Overheated State, it will unleash a lot of Fire based attack such as Sweeping Flames and Magma Counter. Magma Counter in particular is a very strong attack that hits all 4 party members.
You should also watch out for its skill, Feral Bomb Crash as it can hit multiple targets and apply Blastblight. However, this skill also applies Wyvernsoul Def Down to itself which would be a good opening to reduce the gauge.

Dreadqueen Rathian
|
The Feral Ajarakan will primarily have a weakness to Water and Ice type attacks which the Purple Ludroth and the Aurora Somnacanth can cover. The Purple Ludroth can also apply moves that inflict Poison.
However, make sure to switch them out before the Feral Ajarakan unleashes its Fire type attack to a Monstie with a strong Fire Resistance such as the Dreadqueen Rathian, to tank the attack.

The Feral Ajarakan is a Monstie that unleashes very strong fire attacks. Make sure to level up to at least Level 34, the same Level as the Monstie, to increase survivability during the fight.
Make sure to equip weapons with the Water Element like the Almudron Hammer as this helps take advantage of the Feral Ajarakan's weakness.
Additionally, players may also want to equip the Magia Charm which can help sustain the party and apply buffs as well as deal Ice elemental damage, of which the Monster is also very weak to.
Fire resistant armor such as the Yian Kut-Ku U can help in sustaining your protagonist when it unleashes very powerful Fire type skills.
List of All Armor

Ogden and his partner Monstie, Chirpy, can greatly help during this battle because of their sustain and poison inflicting abilities. With the Feral Ajarakan being able to deal high damage from a single attack, Ogden's skills can help heal the party members and boost their stats.
List of All Characters and Companions
The Feral Ajarakan is very susceptible to Poison so take advantage of this by using Poison based attacks early in the match. Partner Monsties who can help with this include the Purple Ludroth and Ogden's partner Chirpy.
The Feral Ajarakan will unleash very powerful attacks such as Magma Counter or Sweeping Flames. Try to save your Kinship Skill to use it for interrupting these attacks as this will prevent your team from taking massive damage.
The Feral Ajarakan will unleash a very powerful counter, (Backlash Blast) if it is attacked on the head during its normal state. With it already releasing such powerful attacks, avoid hitting this body part and instead only attack the head when it is in the Overheated state, when it will not counter the attack.
To help with sustaining your party, make sure to switch out to Monsties with High Fire Resistance before it is about to release its skill. This will help sustain your primary attacker Monstie who may still be very weak to fire, like the Purple Ludroth. If you inflicted Poison, this also helps delay the battle for the status ailment to keep dealing damage.
All Monster Weaknesses and Attack Types
The Feral Ajarakan is encountered during the Crystallisis Main Quest. Shortly after the group arrives at Tarkuan, the group encounters the monster at the objective near the Catavan Stand that they need to climb to.
