Decorations or Equipment Skills
Equipment skills are abilities attached to weapons and armor. There are also decorations, which are items that can be slotted in either weapons or armor to provide additional active and passive abilities to your rider.

Genes or Monstie Skills
Genes are abilities your monsties have or can perform during combat. Aside from their default skills, through various means such as Habitat Restoration or Rite of Channeling, you can add or change the skills of monsties.

Egg Skills are monstie skills acquired by hatching very potent or highly potent eggs. When gathering eggs, an egg will shine gold if it is very potent, and will shine with multiple colors if it is highly potent.
Kinship Skills
Powerful Skill When Riding Monstie
Kinship Skills are powerful attacks that become available while riding your monstie which you can do by filling your kinship gauge, the teardrop-shaped gauge in the lower-left side of the screen.
