❖ Select a weapon to see more details.

The Long Sword is a Slash-type weapon that focuses on sustained offense through its Spirit Gauge system. This gauge increases when Riders win Head-to-Head encounters or use certain skills.
As the Spirit Gauge fills, the Long Sword gains increased attack power and critical rate, allowing Riders to deal stronger attacks.
Once the gauge reaches a certain level, the weapon unlocks Stance Skills, which transition the Long Sword into the Special Sheathe state. While in this state, Riders can perform enhanced attacks and powerful follow-up moves that consume the Spirit Gauge.
| Long Sword Strengths |
|---|
|
|

The Long Sword specializes in consistent damage output rather than large single hits. By continuously attacking and filling the Spirit Gauge, Riders can maintain steady offensive pressure throughout the fight.
This makes the weapon effective during longer battles where maintaining damage over time is important.

The Special Sheathe mechanic improves the Long Sword’s normal attacks and unlocks additional follow-up attacks depending on the Stance skill used.
The number of turns the Special Sheathe effect remains active is determined by the Spirit Gauge color, allowing Riders to maintain enhanced attacks while their gauge is active.
Special Sheathe also enables the use of Spirit Release Slash, giving the Long Sword another powerful offensive option during battle.
Because the Spirit Gauge unlocks additional attacks, the Long Sword provides more variety in combat strategies compared to some other weapons.
Players can adapt their approach depending on the monster’s behavior, switching between building gauge and executing stronger skills.
As a Slash weapon, the Long Sword performs well when targeting monster parts that are vulnerable to cutting attacks.
This allows Riders to damage tails and other Slash-weak parts, helping with part breaks and improving material rewards after battle.
| Long Sword Weaknesses |
|---|
|
|

Many of the Long Sword’s strongest abilities rely on having Spirit Gauge segments filled.
Without building the gauge first, the weapon loses access to some of its strongest stance-based skills, which can reduce its overall effectiveness.
While the Long Sword deals steady damage over time, it generally cannot match the high burst damage of weapons like the Great Sword.
Because of this, it is better suited for maintaining consistent pressure rather than delivering extremely powerful single attacks.
