Combat Guide

In Monster Hunter Stories 3, you take control of the crown prince of Azuria, and you must follow the main story to save your kingdom from the imminent threat of war.

As you follow the story, you'll find multiple Side Quests that you can accept and complete. These reward you with items, experience, and money that will help you on the rest of your journey.

You can acquire different kinds of materials by interacting with gathering spots in the overworld or by defeating Monsters and breaking their parts, so make sure to gather every type of material that you pass by and break each opposing Monster's different body parts!

As your battles get tougher, you'll have to get better gear, and you can make use of the different materials you've acquired by heading to the forgery and crafting new gear or upgrading what you currently have equipped.

Catavans can be located all over the different areas of the game, and you can use these as fast travel points to return to Base or to other places you want to come back to. Catavans can also be used to save your game or change the time of day.

As you explore the game, you'll find multiple Monster Dens, where you can acquire different types of Monster Eggs to hatch. You might even encounter rare and super rare dens, which contain eggs of rare Monsties.

After collecting Monster Eggs, you can go to the Stables at the Base to hatch them. Afterward, you can manage your Monsties and choose the ones you'll bring with you throughout the different parts of your journey.
Different species of Monsters are facing extinction, but you can help restore habitats by releasing your Monsties in different areas. As you release more of the same species, that specie will grow stronger in the wild and may even undergo certain changes.
