2. Normal State |
| Normal State | |
|---|---|
| Enraged State | |
| Tail (Heated) State |
The Feral Glavenus has 3 states which are its Normal, Enraged and Tail (Heated) state.
| Turn Count | Move |
|---|---|
| Turn 1 | Speed Attack |
| Turn 2 | Feral Cold Snap |
| Turn 3 From Enraged State |
Flame Chakram (Will Change to Tail (Heated) State) |
The Normal State of the Feral Glavenus will consist primarily of Speed Attacks and powerful Fire or Ice type moves. Feral Cold Snap is a powerful AoE Ice type skill that can apply skillseal but will also apply Wyvernsoul Down to itself.
After it releases Flame Chakram, the Feral Glavenus will switch to the Tail Heated State.
| Turn Count | Move |
|---|---|
| Turn 1 From the Normal State |
Technical Attack |
| Turn 2 | Feral Cold Snap |
| Turn 3 | Technical Attack |
| Turn 4 | Feral Chilling Dance (Will continuously persist until it releases the attack then transition to the Normal State) |
In the Enraged State, the Feral Glavenus will use Technical Attacks as well as a new Ice type move Feral Chilling Dance. This move will also apply Wyvernsoul Down to itself and will continuously be used until it releases the attack.
This means that despite Paralysis, Stuns or Kinship skills, to transtion to the next stage, the Feral Glavenus will keep trying to use the skill.
| Turn Count | Move |
|---|---|
| Turn 1 From the Normal State |
Tail Blade (Power Attack) |
| Turn 2 | Scorching Blade |
| Turn 3 | Tail Blade (Power Attack) |
During the Tail (Heated) State, the Feral Glavenus will use Power Attacks and a powerful Fire skill called Scorching Blade. This move can apply burn to the targets.
Deviljho
|
Soulseer Mizutsune
|
The Deviljho and Soulseer Mizutsune are recommended to fight against the Feral Glavenus due to its weakness to Water and Dragon elemental skills. Keep in mind however, that the Soulseer Mizutsune is weak against Fire elemental moves so make sure to switch it out during those turns.

3. Vangis Armor |
The Feral Glavenus will be at Level 60 when you fight it so level up yourself and your party to be at least Level 55.
How to Level Up Fast
The Feral Glavenus will apply Skillseal during its backlash attack in the Normal state or when it releases Feral Cold Snap. Stock up on Zest Pills to counter when your character has the skillseal ailment.
In addition to this, the boss will persistently release its strong attacks, Flame Chakram or Feral Chilling Dance, until it shifts state. In such cases, when the move cannot be evaded, the team will have to tank the attack and recover with healing items afterwards.
The Vangis Armor is an excellent option for this battle as it has a good resistance against both Fire and Ice Elemental attacks.
List of All Armor
To counter the boss' strong Fire and Ice type AoE attacks, players can opt to equip their Monsties with Fire and Ice Defense type Genes such as Fire Def Boost. Players can specifically transfer these genes through the Rite of Channeling.
List of All Genes or Monstie Skills

The Feral Glavenus is susceptible to Paralysis and Darkness, so make sure to use Monstie Skills or items like the Flash Bomb to inflict these ailments. Having these ailments are great for delaying damage or evading attacks.

Focus on destroying the Head during the Enraged or Tail (Heated) State, instead of attacking it during the Normal State as this will cause a strong counterattack Backlash Seal.

After unleashing Feral Chilling Dance or Feral Cold Snap the Feral Glavenus will apply Wyvernsoul Down to itself so make use of this opening to deplete the gauge.
Wyvernsoul Gauge Guide
The Feral Glavenus is located at the Bountiful Dunes. Head there and ride the updraft over the water and face the nearby mountain with a circular area in the center. Fly inside the mountainous area, following the Thera Beads, and you will find the boss by the cliffside.
