Like all other Slab variations, the Mangrove Slab can be used for decorating and building unique structures since Slabs are half the size of a regular block.
Slabs are one of the easiest ways to mob proof an area without using lights since they are inexpensive to craft and do not obstruct the player's movement. Mobs do not spawn on the bottom half of Slabs, but they do spawn on the top half of Slabs.
Using the Mangrove Slab is ideal in the Nether where many hostile mobs can spawn even at higher light levels. It's also great to use in builds that benefit from a darker tone and atmosphere.
