Slabs and stairs with their flat side on the top of the block will allow mobs to spawn.
Flammability Flammable
This block can ignite if exposed to fire, fireballs, lava, lightning, or other sources of flame.
Piston Interaction Destroyed by Pistons
This block is destroyed when a piston is pushed into it or when a piston pushes another block in its place.
Interaction with Water Can Be Waterlogged
This block can be waterlogged, so it can occupy the same space as a water source block, but it can still obstruct flowing water.

Minecraft Mangrove Leaves in Swamps

Mangrove Leaves can be found on top of Mangrove Trees which naturally generate in Mangrove Swamp biomes. You can also grow Mangrove Trees anywhere by planting Mangrove Propagules and waiting for them to grow or using Bone Meal to speed up the process.

In order to mine the leaves you need to either have Silk Touch on your tool or you need to be using Shears.

How to Use Mangrove Leaves

Get Sticks by Breaking the Leaves

Minecraft Leaves Drop Sticks

Though most leaf blocks give you both sticks and saplings, Mangrove Leaves do not drop saplings when mined without Silk Touch or Shears. The same is true if they naturally decay. To get their saplings, you'll need to collect Mangrove Propagules that sometimes grow underneath the leaves.

You can increase your chances of getting sticks by using the Fortune Enchantment.

Decorative Building Block

Minecraft - Mangrove Blocks Decoration

Different leaf blocks, including Mangrove Leaves, make great decoration blocks for builds that have a wild or natural style. They can be used to make realistic vines, shrubs, or hedges that accent certain builds.

Updates Observers when Touched by Log Blocks

In Java Edition, when any log block, including stripped log and wood, is placed or pushed beside any leaf block, it can update an observer. The effect reaches up to 5 blocks away from the original leaf block as long as all leaf blocks up to that point are touching each other.
