While Frogs do not drop any items, they can, however, obtain items and blocks by defeating mobs like small Slimes and small Magma Cubes.
| Frog Variant | Drop |

| Orange | |
| Green | |
| White |
Defeating a small Slime will drop a Slimeball, while defeating a small Magma Cube will drop a Froglight block that corresponds to the Frog's type.

To breed two Frogs, you must feed both of them Slimeballs. Afterwards, one Frog will be pregnant and will lay Frogspawn on a nearby water source block. If the Frog does not find water nearby, it will not lay Frogspawn.
The Frogspawn will hatch into a Tadpole after a few minutes and will consequently grow into a specific Frog variant, depending on the biome it grew up in.

There are three Frog variants, all of which are dependent on the biome they spawned or grew up in.
The base, orange variant can be found in temperate climates and biomes, while the green and white variants can be found in cold and warm biomes respectively.

Though Frogs can grow from Tadpoles in any biome, they only naturally spawn in Swamps and Mangrove Swamps.

While generally passive mobs, Frogs can attack Slimes and Magma Cubes of small sizes by pulling them in with its tongue, instantly taking it down and obtaining its drops.
