Use Physical and Fire Characters in the First Half
Enemies in the first half are weak to Physical and Fire. We recommend using characters that can cleanse debuffs, provide a high amount of Effect RES, or provide shields.
Use Ice and Wind Characters in the Second Half
All enemies in the second half are weak to Ice and most are weak to Wind. We recommend using AoE units since the Shape Shifter can summon more enemies.
How to Beat Stage 3 - Category Mistake
Category Mistake First Half
Shield Up Against Sweet Gorilla
A shielder in the First Half is highly recommended due to Sweet Gorilla's ability. Its ability will rebound against shielded allies and will inflict a DEF Reduction debuff to itself, making it easier to defeat it.
Cleanse Alien Dream
Tomorrow in Harmonious Chords can inflict Alien Dream onto your characters, which prevents them from taking action. It also causes them to take more damage from the next attack they receive.
To deal with this, cleanse Alien Dream using characters who can cleanse debuffs from allies such as Hyacine and Permansor Terrae.
Category Mistake Second Half
Use AoE Attacks on Mara-Struck Soldiers
The Shape Shifter will summon Mara-Struck Soldiers and gain a Draining Hit buff, letting it heal whenever it attacks. Use AoE attacks to damage and kill the summoned Mara-Struck Soldiers to dispel the Shape Shifter's Draining Hit.
Beware of the Malefic Ape's Target
The Malefic Ape is deadly due to its Wrathful Roar ability. Make sure to shield up or let your tankiest unit take the aggro by using a skill before the Malefic Ape's turn.
