How to Beat Gepard (World 3 Boss)

Gepard Boss Battle Tips

Gepard Boss Weaknesses and Resistances

Weaknesses
Resistances
Star Rail - Ice Ice RES
Frozen RES Imprisonment RES

Gepard will be weak to Physical, Lightning, and Imaginary attacks. Make sure your DPS or Break characters use one or a mix of these elements to make Toughness breaks quicker and easier during the fight.

Note: Most of Gepard's summoned soldiers will also be weak to Physical damage. AoE Physical damage dealers like the Trailblazer and Clara will be perfect for breaking both Gepard and his soldiers during the fight.

Shield and Heal Besieged Characters

Honkai Star Rail - Gepard Besiege

During the boss fight, Gepard will use a move called Besiege which has his soldiers target one of your characters for an entire turn. When this happens, make sure to shift single-target shields and heals towards the targeted character to prevent them from dying.

Do note that while this may not be threatening during the first two phases, the third phase with the Silvermane Lieutenants can kill low-level or low-HP supports in a single turn if they are not properly shielded or healed while Besieged.

Take Out the Reinforcements First

Enemies Weaknesses
Physical Ice Imaginary
Physical Ice Quantum
Wind Quantum

Gepard's reinforcements are arguably more effective at killing your units than Gepard himself. Make sure to deal with them first to quickly clear the field in favor of your team.

Note: When Gepard's HP is low, make sure to save your Path Resonance. Each phase guarantees that Gepard will summon a new set of allies. Saving your Path Resonance until after they appear on the field can quickly turn the tide of battle in your favor.
