Enemies in Afternoon Fort hits like a truck so gaining resistance to fire will prevent enemies from lowering your defense. It is not a must have since there are ways to play around enemy attacks but it's still a welcome addition when tackling this dungeon.

Fire Resistance Makes Things Easier

The element to prepare for here is Fire. Aside from Bombs in your path, enemies like Lizardmen will cast Firaga without breaking a sweat. If you get Burned, your Defense will drop and your HP will plummet faster than you expect. Have the Resistance will make this much easier to deal with.

That said, Burning will not limit your actual movement, so if you're confident in your ability to avoid getting hit, you may be able to handle without it.

List of All Equipment and Effects

All Enemies are Vulnerable to Thunder

▲At the beginning, lure enemies one by one and take them out with Thunder

Lizardmen can be immobilized with a single Thunder. Use a race with a fast cast time like a Clavat or Yuke, then defeat them while they are paralyzed. This won't help you power through the reinforcements that come after them, but you can repeat this process to whittle them down one by one.

Behemoth can also be taken out with Thundara. It'll hold the line all the way through the Boss fight, so stick with Thunder all the way through. If you're playing a Lilty, well, brace yourself because there's not much you can do.

In Daemon's Court, the enemies finding the keys were harder to find, but the Behemoths with the keys here are simply on opposite sides of the map at the tops of either tower.
