Frozen Sluice Dungeon Walkthrough

Atleast one of the Acies equipment is recommended before tackling the Frozen Sluice (having two is better). There are a lot of enemies that will be attempting to freeze your whole party with attacks that have ice element and blizzagas. Bypassing that obstacle is the first step to conquering the Frozen Sluice.

Ice Resistance is a Necessity

As can be expected of a snow-themed Dungeon, you'll be dealing with plenty of Ice here. Regular enemies like Skeleton will be dropping Blizzagas like they're saying Ice to meet you. If you've got no resistance at all, you'll get beaten down while frozen in ice with no mercy. Even with just +1 resistance, you'll avoid a lot of slippery situations, so don't come in without it.

Use Fire to block the obstructing ice

They weren't kidding when they named it Frozen. Giant blocks of ice will block your way, and normal attacks will not be enough to shatter them. You'll need Fire to melt the Ice away instead.

How to Use Fire

Many enemies are weak to Fire

A large number of enemies have high HP and Defense, but in general, all of them will be weak to Fire and Burning. By inflicting the Burning status, you can halve their Defense and deal heavy damage. From there, simply timing three-hit combos well should be enough to take them down.

Of course, you have to weigh priorities. Casting Fire isn't going to be worth it if you're getting clobbered while trying to charge the Spell. Judge each enemy and situation, and determine whether it's better to use Fire or to just slog through.
