Latest Updates and Patch Notes

Update v1.03

Update v1.03 for Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince (DQM3) was officially released on December 27, 2023. A link to the official patch release page can be found under the official JP site's News section.

System Related Updates

Update v1.03 System Related Updates
  1. You can now use the Zoom function to fast travel to the Altar of Amalgamation located at the 1st basement floor of Rosehil Tower.
  2. The frequency of eggs popping up in the field have been increased. The number of battle required before they reposition have been decreased.
  3. The probability of egg-only monsters have been increased.
  4. The probability of skills egg-only monsters can obtain have been increased.
  5. After the ending, some Skill Scrolls will be obtainable at the Online Shop menu (on certain days, check in "Browse New Items").
  6. The icon showing the player's current position on the map has been made easier to see.
  7. The probability of some traits and special skills to cause the Sleep status abnormality has been decreased.
  8. The success rate of attacks in scouting have been increased by x1.1.
  9. Monsters in The Mole Hole will now reappear randomly even if you do not leave the dungeon after defeating or recruiting monsters.
  10. Coach Joe's Dungeon Gym update limit has been increased from 1 to 3 times.
  11. The number of treasure chests in Coach Joe's Dungeon Gym has been increased.
  12. A treasure chest containing 2 Super Energy Orbs have been placed on the 1st basement floor of Rosehill Tower.

Bug Fixes

Update v1.03 Bug Fixes
  1. Measures have been taken to reduce the frequency of errors causing the game to close.
  2. Addressed an issue causing battles to end due to disconnections during online battles.
  3. Fixed an issue where under certain conditions, the game becomes inoperable when the in-game season changes.
  4. Fixed an issue where players are unable to progress when giving some tools to monsters during battle.
  5. Fixed an issue where players who cleared the Endor Arena battles up to A Rank would be unable to take on a challenge of the Japan-exclusive McDonald's Promo until they progressed to a specific scenario.
    6. In addition, several bugs unlisted in the patch notes have been fixed.

After observations of the current state of battle, there were discussions on making skill corrections in an update.

There is a prediction that skill adjustments may be made to the current competitive meta, such as changes like additional effects to weaknesses.

Improvements for The Mole Hole DLC

There are likely to be improvements to be made for The Mole Hole DLC after there were discussions regarding on how to make more efficient use of it.
