Medicines are items that focuses on restoring health points (HP) and curing status conditions. These are essential for surviving any battle in the game!

Medicinal Herb | Restores 30 HP to a single ally. |
Strong Medicine | Restores 60 HP to a single ally. |
Special Medicine | Restores 120 HP to a single ally. |
Amor Seco Essence | Restores 50 to 60 HP to all allies. |
Yggdrasil Dew | Restores 100 to 120HP to all allies. |
Single Phial | Restores 10 MP to a asingle ally. |
Magic Water | Restores 30 MP to a single ally. |
Sage's Elixir | Restores 90 MP to a single ally. |
Antidotal Herb | Cures a single ally of poison and severe poison. |
Moonwort Bulb | Cures a single ally of paralysis. |
Smelling Salts | Cures a single ally of confusion and sleep. |
Panacea | Cures a single ally of any ailments that afflict them. |
Yggdrasil Leaf | Revives a single fallen ally and restores half of their HP. |
Battle Items focuses on providing buffs and/or increasing defense during battles. Some battle items even deal damage on enemies when used.

Oomph Powder | Greatly increases the attack of a single ally for 2 to 5 turns. |
Buffium | Greatly increases the defence of a single ally for 4 to 7 turns. |
Acceleratonic | Greatly increases the agility of a single ally for 4 to 7 turns. |
Pingium | Greatly increases the wisdom of a single ally for 4 to 7 turns. |
Insulade | Reduces the damage received by a single ally from breath attacks for 4 to 7 turns. |
Sag Powder | Greatly lowers the attack of a single enemy for 2 to 5 turns. |
Sapperine | Greatly lowers the defence of a single enemy for 4 to 7 turns. |
Deceleratonic | Greatly lowers the agility of a single enemy for 4 to 7 turns. |
Dimium | Greatly lowers the wisdom of a single enemy for 4 to 7 turns. |
Antimagic Powder | Prevents a single enemy from using magic spells. |
Bad Medicine | Inflicts a single enemy with a range of debilitating effects. |
Pretty Pebble | A small stone that can sting quite sharply if thrown with enough force. Inflicts minor damage to a single enemy when used in battle. |
Monster Manure | A pongy deposit that can be pitched at one's opponents. Inflicts minor damage to a single enemy when used in battle. |
Pinball | A sphere of the toughest stone that really hurts if it hits you. Inflicts minor damage to a single enemy when used in battle, including metallic monsters. |
Rockbomb Shard | An unstable stone that explodes when it strikes its target. Almost kills a single enemy when used in battle, but the damage it inflicts will vary according to the target's resistance to instant death. |
Food Items are items that focuses on increasing the likelihood of monsters to join your party. You basically feed them these food items for easier catching.
Item | Effect |

Mystery Meat | Suspicious meat of unknown origin. Feed it to a monster to increase the likelihood of it wanting to join you by a random factor. |
Rarified Steak | Odd offcuts, the origin of which may never be ascertained. Feed it to a monster to increase the likelihood of it wanting to join you by a random factor. Occasionally inflicts a status ailment. |
Manky Meat | A piece of putrid flesh that exudes a sour stench. Feed to a monster to very slightly increase the likelihood of it wanting to join you, but also poison it in the process. |
Monster Munchies | A meaty morsel that monsters love. Feed to a monster to very slightly increase the likelihood of it wanting to join you. |
Smoked Sirloin | A tender treat that monsters adore. Feed to a monster to slightly increase the likelihood of it wanting to join you. |
Meaty Treat | A succulent cut that monsters go mad for. Feed to a monster to increase the likelihood of it wanting to join you. |
Treasures are very important items that have very powerful effects. Some increases the rate of EXP gained and some teaches monsters talents.
Item | Effect |
---|---|
Bonus Ball | Increases the amount of experience points and gold coins earned after battle by 1.5x. Effective for 10 battles. Only one of this item can be in effect at any one time. |
Bumper Bonus Ball | Increases the amount of experience points and gold coins earned after battle by 2.0x. Effective for 25 battles. Only one of this item can be in effect at any one time. |
Metal Slimecard | The timecard of a hardworking metal slime. Provides a small amount of 2000 additional experience points to a single ally. |
Liquid Metal Slimecard | The timecard of an industrious liquid metal slime. Provides additional amount of 10000 additional experience points to a single ally. |
King Metal Slimecard | The timecard of a workaholic metal slime. Provides a large amount of 70000 additional experience points to a single ally. |
Seasoning | A phenomenal powder that hurries the onset of the following season. Cannot be used in places where the season does not normally change. |
Seed of Life | Raises the max. HP of a single ally by 3. Note that each monster type has an upper limit to its max. HP that cannot be exceeded. |
Super Seed of Life | Raises the max. HP of a single ally by 10. Note that each monster type has an upper limit to its max. HP that cannot be exceeded. |
Seed of Strength | Raises the attack of a single ally by 3. Note that each monster type has an upper limit to its attack that cannot be exceeded. |
Super Seed of Strength | Raises the attack of a single ally by 10. Note that each monster type has an upper limit to its attack that cannot be exceeded. |
Seed of Resilience | Raises the defence of a single ally by 3. Note that each monster type has an upper limit to its defence that cannot be exceeded. |

Seed of Skill | Provides a single ally with 3 additional talent points. Note that a monster can have a maximum of 999 available talent points. |

Seed of Growth | Raises the level of a single ally by 1. |
Barricade's Scroll | Teaches the Barricade talent. |
Defence Booster's Scroll I | Teaches the Defence Booster I talent. |
Frizz Ward's Scroll | Teaches the Frizz Ward talent. |
Key items are items that are very important in progressing the story of Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince. These are usually obtained throughout the main story and are mostly used to unlock more advanced areas in the game.

Mini Medal | Collectible medals that can be swapped with the medallist for an array of prizes. Drop by their counter at the Maulosseum in the lower echelon of the Cricle of Conquest to see what's on offer. |
Red Travelite | A red crystal that was forged by ancient elves. It contains a magical energy that allows travel to previously inaccessible areas of Nadiria. |
Yellow Travelite | A yellow crystal that was forged by ancient elves. It contains a magical energy that allows travel to previously inaccessible areas of Nadiria. |
Green Travelite | A green crystal that was forged by ancient elves. It contains a magical energy that allows travel to previously inaccessible areas of Nadiria. |
Indigo Travelite | An indigo crystal that was forged by ancient elves. It contains a magical energy that allows travel to previously inaccessible areas of Nadiria. |
Pink Travelite | A pink crystal that was forged by ancient elves. It contains a magical energy that allows travel to previously inaccessible areas of Nadiria. |
Purple Travelite | A purple crystal that was forged by ancient elves. It contains a magical energy that allows travel to previously inaccessible areas of Nadiria. |
