Use Skills and Items That Counter Sleep

Darius the Shadethrower utilizes the spell, Kasnooze, that puts your party to sleep. It will take some turns before your party wakes up, so bring a Monster that knows Cock-a-Doodle-Doo to cleanse this effect from allies.

You can also prepare an item like Smelling Salts in case your Monster that has Cock-a-Doodle-Doo falls asleep.

Use Bounce to Reflect Spells

A majority of Darius's attacks are spells, so it is recommended to bring a Monster with Bounce. The Hawk Man that accompanies Darius will use physical attacks, however, so be careful.
