Releasing monsters in Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince (DQM3) has its perks. Learn more about the rewards for releasing monsters and how to part ways with them in this guide!

One of the benefits of letting a monster go are Seeds that can be used to increase other monsters' stats. It's relatively more difficult to collect seeds by any means, so if you're looking to collect a large number of them, it's best to part ways with a monster.

| 2 | ![]() Select the monster you wish to release. |
| 3 | ![]() Press the X button and select the last option from the menue to release monsters. |
| 4 | ![]() Mark the monsters you wish to release by ticking their checkbox, then hit the "+" button on the panel to the right. |
| 5 | ![]() When the confirmation prompts appears, select "Yes". Released monsters cannot be added to your team unless scouted again. |
| 6 | ![]() The monsters will be released and leave seeds behind for you to collect. |

Even after succefully scouting a monster, you can opt to release it on the spot. The steps in releasing the monster is the same as the ones above.
