Soft Restarting the Game

Software errors are usually unpredictable. This does not mean you cannot take measures to reduce or prevent them, however.

If you spot any unusual visual artifacts or signs of the game slowing down on the Nintendo Switch, a game error may likely follow. If you can restart the game before that happes, it can help you avoid the error or make them less likely to occur.

How to Do a Soft Restart

①	Return to the Switch home screen and select the game.
②	Close the software and open it again. *Do not forget to save in-game before doing so!

Power Restarting the Switch

If you find the game to be slowing down or becoming prone to crashing, there may be a problem with the Switch itself. This can happen if the Switch is:

• Kept powered on for long periods of time.
• Left frequently on Sleep Mode but never powered off.

You may find restarting the console to be a more convenient way to clear any performance or system problems with the game.

How to Restart the Switch

You can physically restart your Switch instead by holding the power button for about 3 seconds and selecting Restart from the Power Options.

Do not forget to save your data before restarting your Switch!

Always Keep Autosave On

Errors are usually unpredictable, so it is recommended that you have your autosave turned on in anticipation of a possible game freeze or crash. Autosave can be found under the Other tab of Options in-game.

An instance where you may find yourself turning your autosave off is when you are manually saving and trying to avoid bad results from synthesis such as in monster synthesis or accessory synthesis. In this case, do not forget to turn on autosave once you are done.

Keep in mind that you are at risk of losing progress should your autosave be off when an error occurs!

Improvements via Game Updates

Errors are expected to be improved through updates (even more so if they are regularly reported online) made by the game's development team.

Keep a close eye out if the development team pushes out an update for the game. Announcements for patch notes can be found under the News section of their official JP site.
