When successfully defeating enemies in a battle, half (1/2) of EXP earned will be rewarded to your monsters on standby.
Even if a monster is within active formation at the start of battle, that monster will only earn half the EXP if it is on standby at the end of it.
A quarter (1/4) of EXP earned will also be rewarded to monsters at the Monster Depot.
Levels of monsters at the depot will increase automatically without you having to interact with them such as adding them to the active party, so you do not have to worry about actively training them.

EXP gained through items and accessories used such as the Bonus Ball or an equipped Cupcake Cane will be factored in at the end of battle.
Regularly battling while EXP-boosting accessories and items are used will ensure that your monsters get the most out of EXP constantly. This is recommended, since it will also help grow your monsters on standby.
No EXP are given to monsters who are in a fallen state at the end of battle. To revive the monster, either use an iterm, skill, or have the monster revived at to Rosehill Tower.
For less chances of monsters falling in battle, it is best that they level up first on standby if they are easy to be taken down during a fight before they serve an active role in the formation.
To be sure that you do not frequently encounter such unfortunate events, it is best to have monsters who can heal and revive in your active party during the fight.
