There are four monsters you can acquire from Monty's questions, of which you can only get one.
The monster you acquire will depend on your answers to each question, though Mud Mannequin and Cruelcumber will require a third question, which you can get by answering the first two questions differently.
All four starting monsters are viable choices. However, if you're having trouble deciding which one to get, then we highly recommend Cruelcumber.
Apart from learning the powerful wind spell Woosh quickly, it can also be used to synthesize powerful monsters!

Matchmaking becomes available after you clear Category G in the Endor Colosseum. Simply talk to the NPC in the Colosseum and agree to a matchmaking service.
The monsters you wish to match with each other are entirely up to you. However, we recommend matchmaking Komodo with the NPC's Nardragon to create an F-Rank Drag Racer.

Capsichum
Autumn only |
Khalamari Kid
Winter Only |
Capsichum is a great monster to scout as it can learn skills that can buff allies. Khalamari Kid is also a monster worth scouting due to the recovery spells it can learn. Both of these monsters are seasonal so we recommend catching them in Step 2.
