The Cane Custodian List of Attacks

Fire Element Attacks Are Effective

DQM The Dark Prince - Cane Custodian Fire Effective
The Cane Custodian's weakness is Fire, so utilize attacks with Fire element with skills like Kafrizz and Flame Slash. It is also more efficient if you use Fire breath attacks like Inferno and Scorch to damage the Luneyetics as well.

Flamethrower is Recommended

Flamethrower is a Monster that joins your party after defeating Ash in the Circle of Temper (Middle Echelon). It has the Talent, Firebrand and the Trait, Frizzmeister. It learns both Kafrizz and Scorch, so levelling it up will make the fight against the Cane Custodian easier.

Use Skills and Items That Counter Sleep

DQM The Dark Prince - Cane Custodian Sleep Effects
The Cane Custodian will attempt to use Sleep effects with Sweet Breath and then look to hit for high damage with Blightsplitter. Being inflicted with the Sleep status can be dangerous due to this.

So, utilize skills and items that counter sleep like Cock-a-Doodle-Doo and Smelling Salts to cure the effect.
