Use Brake Wind to Reflect its Breath Attacks

Ash has a couple of powerful breath skills that you should watch out for: Inferno and Poison Breath. The counter to these attacks is the move Brake Wind, a skill that reflects breath attacks once.

Use Monsters that are Strong Against Fire Skills

Ash's fire moves are quite dangerous, so it's recommended to carry monsters that are resistant, immune, or even heal from being hit by fire attacks.

However, many of these monsters are also Fire element themselves and carry Fire skills (which Ash resists), so keep note and make sure to carry skills of other elements.

You can deal a lot of damage to Ash using water-elemental attacks. By evolving the talent Splash Afficionado to the higher-level Splash Virtuoso, you can learn some powerful water skills, so consider this if you're having difficulty with Ash.

Dancing Flame heals from Ash's attacks so it's a very powerful counter to Ash. Meanwhile, Briny Bronco is also useful since it resists Fire, has Water skills to hit Ash's weakness, and can heal allies.
