A monster's stat limits can be increased depending on the parental lineage of its six ancestors, and its parents' levels. For example, if you want to increase the maximum attack stat, then you can increase the child monster's attack limit by synthesizing dragon and material monsters. Refer to the table below to find out which type of monsters can increase a certain stat.

If all four ancestors are from different monster families, then all the child monster's stat limits will increase but it will not be maximized. To maximize a single stat, you will want to focus on families that boost that stat.
Among the ancestors, the parents gets twice as much than the grandparents in increasing stat limits. Therefore, if you want to specialize in attack but also have some HP, the best way is to have a Dragon, Material, Demon, and ''???'' as grandparents for the attack, while you have Dragon and ''???'' as parents for both Attack and HP.

The aforementioned parental lineage bonus can be increased further by getting the parents to level 100 before synthesizing. The increase in the stat limit will be 20% of the basic maximum value.
With the 20% modifier, you can increase the HP of a monster from 1500 to 1800, while a monster with 500 MP, Attack, and so on can be increased to 600.
While synthesizing monsters, sometimes you can get a shiny monster from it. It will randomly have a 100 maximum value for one of its stats. Although, the probability of getting a shiny monster is very rare, so you will have to be patient and keep trying.
You cannot tell which stat is at max just from appearances. You will need to raise its level by using a Metal Slimecard to see which stat is growing more.
Large sized monsters naturally have a higher stat limit compared to small monsters. Particularly, large monsters would have higher defense at the expense of lower agility. Since it can also increase other stat limits, it makes it very powerful. However, it takes up two party slots, so think carefully before sizing up.
Large Size | |
---|---|
HP/MP | 1.5x more |
Atk / Def / Agl / Wis | 1.1x more |
Guard/Early | The larger the size, the better the defense, but has lower agility |
※Precautions | When the monster becomes large and the number of actions increases, and the upper limit of all stats will drop by 0.7x to 0.9x! Due to this, the bonuses may not seem like much of an increase. |
These values are compared to the standard small sized monsters.
How to Synthesize Large Monsters
The best way to increase your stats is to learn the booster talents. Certain stats are more suitable on certain monsters, such as having magic attackers and healers benefiting more on Wisdom Booster, while physical attackers should have the Attack Booster.
The booster talents add onto the stat's original limit. This means that even if the monster has already reached its maximum stat limit, the booster bonus can still further increase it.

When synthesizing, it is recommended to raise the levels of the parents as much as possible so that you can pass their higher stats to the child. The initial stat of the child will be 1/4 the sum of the parents' stat. This makes it much easier to reach the upper limit of the monster's stat quicker.
You can also increase your stats by using seed-based items, such as the Seed of Agility. These items can be easily obtained by parting with monsters. With that, try to use them frequently before battles since there is no issue with getting more. Although, note that these do not increase the max limit of your stats.
Lastly, your monster's stats can be increased by equipping accessories on them. Additionally, you can synthesize accessories at Tinkerer's Workbench. Don't forget to also equip accessories that have special effects.
