Seeds in Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince (DQM3) help raise your stats and can be hard to come by. Find out the best ways on how you can stack up on seeds fast in this guide!
Procedure | • Synthesize monsters for scouting • Speak to Donnie Mole in Paddock • Enter the G Rank Level • Scout as many monsters as possible • When you get more than one of the same monster, move on to the next level |
---|
The best way to stack up on seeds is by collecting monsters in the Mole Hole DLC and releasing them. Firstly, collect monsters in the G Rank Level. After scouting the same monster several times and your scouting rate decreases, move onto the next level.
The Mole Hole DLC will provide you with a dungeon where you can face and scout all monsters you have encountered. This even includes the ones you have synthesized, even if you haven't faced them in battle!
If you have not purchased the Mole Hole DLC, simply scouting monsters in the Circles of Nadiria is another plausible option. It may be a little less efficient than that of the DLC, but will still help you collect seeds in bulk.

Your monsters can still earn experience even if you leave them in Paddock. However, the experience points they gain will be lower than that of the monsters you use actively in battle.
While they are gaining experience points, engage in battles and level up the ones in your party. Afterwards, return to Paddock and switch monsters. Repeat the process until they reach Level 100.
Turn off the game's auto-save and manually save in front of Zachariah in Paddock.
Speak to Zachariah at Paddock, retrieve all the monsters you have scoutedn and release them. The seeds you will get will be at random. If you wish to receive better or more seeds, simply return to the title screen without saving and repeat this step.
How to Release Monsters and Rewards
• Releasing monsters at Paddock (Can be done right after scouting a monster successfully) • Obtained from treasure chests and enemy drops |
When you release monsters, you can acquire seeds. However, the seeds you acquire are at random. The higher the level and status of the monster released, the more and better seeds you can acquire, so it is recommended to increase your monsters' levels first.
Upon successfully scouting a monster, you can opt to release it right after. However, this can only be done if you are carrying the maximum number of monsters in your team, both active and standby. The maximum number of monsters you can carry is 8.
Seeds can also be obtained by opening treasure chests and taking spoils from enemy battles. However, the number of chests in the game are finite, and the probability of enemies dropping seeds are relatively low, making this method the least recommended.
