When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
The best IVs for Rearmed Soren are +Res and -Def. Res is Soren's most important stat and is the basis for ihs brave effect check, making it ideal to boost with its superboon.
Soren's Def is a clear dump stat and can be safely taken as a bane, especially with 【Assign Decoy Twin】 protecting him from melee physical attackers.

Rearmed Soren is a ranged magic attacker (range = 2). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Res stat.
Rearmed Soren's inheritable Arcane Rexbolt grants Atk/Res+6, Special cooldown charge +1 per attack
, and neutralizes penalties on unit during combat
to Soren and allies within 2 spaces at the start of both player and enemy phase.
In combat, Arcane Rexbolt grants Soren Atk/Spd/Def/Res+15, +25 bonus true damage, +15 bonus true damage reduction, and a 50% damage reduction piercing effect.
What's interesting is that Arcane Rexbolt provides the in-combat bonus effects at a flat rate and not based on any other conditions such as teammate proximity or HP thresholds. These ensure that the wielder will always have these effects active.
Rearmed Soren's exclusive A skill Refined Magic disables the foe's adaptive damage effects, grants Spd/Def+6, 【Fringe Bonus】, and foe cannot make a follow-up attack
to Soren and nearby allies, and grants 【Assign Decoy Twin】 to either Soren's support partner or the ally with the highest Def.
【Assign Decoy Twin】 is similar to the old 【Assign Decoy】 status, except now it has a built-in Twin effect which allows damage reduction effects on Specials to be triggered twice in combat.
In combat, Refined Magic grants Soren Atk/Spd/Def/Res+8, bonus true damage equal to 20% of his Res, +7 bonus true damage reduction, a guaranteed follow-up attack, and a brave effect if Soren wins a Res check.
Refined Magic is the skill that defined Rearmed Soren and separates him from similar archetype units. Proper teambuilding is required to maximize this skill, but it can have a great impact if built correctly.
Rearmed Soren's low base 18 Def leaves him vulnerable to physical attacks.
He will be reliant on 【Assign Decoy Twin】 to protect him from any incoming physical damage.
