Legendary Hero Battle - Diamant Strategy

Use Player Phase Units With Multiple Actions!

Player Phase units with multiple actions can easily perform a Hit-and-Run strategy on this map, as the enemies don't have warping effects. Bring a unit dedicated to defeating Legendary Diamant - ideally a high Def Red hero that can shrug off his attacks. Brave Byleth (M) from the recent Choose Your Legends 9 banner works well for this role.

Emblem Sigurd, if you have him, can defeat the Axe Knight on turn one, and then the Sword Fighter after that before retreating with Canto. This allows him to heavily dent Legendary Diamant with his Override area-of-effect Special, making it easier for you to defeat him later on.

The enemies will all move on the first turn, except for Legendary Diamant. You can use the first turn to set up your units near the two choke points on the map.

On the second turn, use offensive heroes to burst down the generics, retreating back each time using their extra actions or Canto effects. The two choke points will prevent the enemy units from swarming you, allowing you to defeat the generics one at a time.

Heroes with multiple actions are able to clear more generic enemies per turn, making it easier for you to retreat to safety due to having less enemies to worry about.

On the third turn, two enemies will spawn on the bottom half of the map. Defeat them when they appear and resume the Hit-and-Run strategy.

Finally, when Legendary Diamant moves, steer clear of him and have your dedicated unit defeat him in battle.

An Enemy Phase strategy is the Easiest Way to Win!

Utilizing the two choke points on the map to funnel enemies into your tanks is the easiest way to win this battle.

We recommend choosing the right choke point to funnel enemies into, as Legendary Diamant's 3 movement allows him to reach the left choke point on the first turn if an enemy is in range.

To start, ensure your tank unit(s) are able to survive a round of attacks from Legendary Diamant, either with or without support, and bring them into battle. Park the tank unit one spot below each choke point and have support units present nearby.

The enemies will funnel themselves into the choke points when they advance, and your positioning ensures that as few enemies as possible are able to attack.

Be careful on the third turn, as two enemies will spawn on the bottom half of the map. Have your support units defeat these enemies if they can, or bring an offensive unit whose role is to defeat these bottom foes.

Just like the Player Phase strategy, ensure you have a dedicated hero who can defeat Legendary Diamant in battle.

Emblem Sigurd	Lance Cavalry Holy-War Spear grants Emblem Sigurd +2 movement (5 total), 【Canto (3)】, and bonus true damage. Override is an area-of-effect Special that grants an extra action after use.
Brave Felix	Sword Infantry New Levin Sword accelerates Special by 2, opening up either area-of-effect spam or quick Galeforce. Lone Wolf can grant up to three actions in one turn.
Valentine's Edelgard	Axe Armored Eagle's Heart has built-in Canto and grants Edelgard an extra action and bonus true damage. Pure Storm grants an extra action, debuffs enemies, and grants Edelgard bonus true damage. Inheriting Galeforce can grant a fourth action per turn, but will reduce firepower due to the lack of Armored Blaze.
Winter Edelgard	Lance Armored Black Yule Lance creates 【Divine Vein (Flame)】 tiles, grants Special cooldown charges pre-combat, and cuts the effectiveness of enemy damage reduction skills. Raging Tempest grants mobility and one additional action after combat. Inheriting Galeforce can grant a third action per turn.
Brave Chrom	Lance Cavalry Geirdriful grants bonus Special charges and Special cooldown acceleration, allowing an easy Galeforce trigger. A Fate Changed! allows repositioning an ally to safety and using the extra action for Brave Chrom to retreat to safety himself.
Elm	Red Beast Flying Jaws of Closure inflicts 【Undefended】 on multiple foes after Elm's actions and has tons of bonus true damage to be able to punch through Legendary Diamant's true damage reduction effects.

Legendary Black Knight	Sword Armored Pitch-Dark Luna has built-in Null C-Disrupt and deals massive damage. Final Sword grants 【Imbue】 and 【Reflex】 to improve his bulk and grant damage reflection.
Fallen Alear (F)	Green Breath Armored Fell Blast grants 【Fell Spirit】, which has built-in Null C-Disrupt to deal with the Troubadour early.
Attuned Hector	Sword Armored Fellowship Blade grants 【Bulwark】 to protect allies and grants Hector bonus true damage and true damage reduction. Oath of Ostia applies 【Divine Vein (Stone)】 and grants Hector Special skipping and damage reduction piercing. D Counter Echo allows counterattacks against ranged foes.
Marni	Axe Armored A free-to-play unit available using Heroic Grails with a statline heavily focused on tanking. Praise-Piner Axe neutralizes foe's bonuses, grants damage reduction, and has post-combat healing to loop her built-in Miracle effect over and over again.

Elimine	Staff Flying Grants damage reduction, healing, and can shut down "At start of turn" effects of foes in cardinal directions upon winning a Res check.
Halloween Flayn	Staff Cavalry Kitty-Cat Parasol grants Special cooldown charges, 30% damage reduction, and "neutralizes foe's bonuses to Atk" to nearby allies and can double as an offensive unit with high Atk and a guaranteed follow-up attack.
Seteth	Lance Flying Refined Spear of Assal grants Seteth and nearby allies bonus stats, true damage, true damage reduction, and neutralizes foe's bonuses.
Heiðrún	Green Beast Infantry Divine Nectar grants the 【Divine Nectar】 status which grants true damage reduction and pre-combat healing.
Tina	Staff Infantry Thief steals bonus effects, notably 【Imbue】 and 【Reflex】 from Legendary Diamant, and grants them to your team.
